Planning + Proposal Changes

Corrected pricing, the real extension list, and what still needs confirming

The first proposal was priced wrong

Sections A–D above are the original proposal and have been left as they were issued. This section supersedes the pricing in them.

1

Wrong pricing units

It billed 5 DIDs at $24.95 each and nothing else. That isn't how BridgePoint sells the service. There is no $24.95 DID. The real model is a SIP trunk, a block of numbers, and a charge per extension — and the proposal had no extension charge in it at all, which is the largest line on the bill.

2

Wrong extension list

It listed 13 extensions, missed 814 (Michael Bland) entirely, and mislabelled two others. The correct count is 14. Because extensions are a billable unit, a wrong count is a wrong price.

3

The separation comparison has been withdrawn

Section B split the shared system 5 DIDs / 15 DIDs and claimed a $78/month combined saving. That figure relied on the same incorrect unit pricing and on an estimate of the Medical Centre's costs we are not in a position to make. This section prices Pohlen Hospital only.

How the service is actually priced

Three recurring units, plus calls at per-minute rates.

$19.00
SIP trunk

The connection carrying calls to and from the outside world. One trunk serves the whole site.

$3.00
Per DDI number

Sold in blocks. Minimum block is 10 — Pohlen needs around 5, but 10 is the smallest billable block.

$15.00
Per extension

One per configured handset or user. This is the charge the first proposal left out.

Local / National calling$0.03/min
Mobile calling$0.22/min

Pohlen Hospital — corrected monthly cost

Standalone on BridgePoint, priced on the units above.

The three fixed lines are firm. Call minutes are estimated from Pohlen's own call records (May–June 2026) and will vary with actual use — they are a small part of the bill either way.

What changed, in numbers

LineFirst proposalCorrected
SIP trunknot billed$19.00
Numbers$124.75 (5 × $24.95)$30.00 (10 × $3.00)
Extensionsmissing$210.00 (14 × $15.00)
Calls (estimated)$11.66$11.66
Monthly total~$137~$271

Net effect: ~$134/month higher than first quoted. The increase is almost entirely the extension charge that was omitted — $210 of it. Correcting the number pricing actually reduced that line by $94.75.

The 14 extensions

14 × $15.00 = $210.00

Each one is a billable extension and a handset to configure.

If any of these seats are retired before cutover, the extension charge drops by $15.00/month each. Confirm the final list at the planning call.

Implementation — one-off

Unchanged from the original proposal. Billed at actual time; the figure below is a guide.

Estimated time
~6 hours
Rate
$165/hr
Guide total
~$990
1
Planning call ~30 mins

Confirm the 14 extensions, the DDI range, call flow and IVR script

2
Trunk & numbers ~2 hrs

Provision the instance, build the SIP trunk, configure the DDI block, start the port

3
Extension provisioning ~2 hrs

Build all 14 extensions and re-provision each existing handset

4
Call flow & IVR ~1 hr

Auto-attendant, ring groups, business-hours routing, voicemail boxes

5
Testing & go-live ~30 mins

Test every extension, validate routing, support the cutover

Assumes Pohlen Hospital owns the existing handsets and they can be re-provisioned — no new hardware in this figure.

Still to confirm before build

These are needed to provision the service and are not settled by this document. None of them should be read as agreed.

The DDI numbers

Block of 10 is the billable minimum. The actual numbers to sit in that block have not been listed — we need Pohlen’s real DDI range confirmed.

Number porting

Losing carrier, account number, authorisation and a target port date. None of this is captured yet.

Call flow design

IVR script, business hours, ring group membership, after-hours and failover behaviour.

Emergency calling

111 service and the registered emergency address for each DDI.

Voicemail-to-email

Destination mailboxes per extension or per group.

GST treatment

All figures on this page are shown as-quoted. GST-inclusive vs exclusive needs stating on the final quote.

Contract term

Term, notice period, start date and renewal basis.

Handsets

Assumes Pohlen owns all 14 existing handsets and they are re-provisionable. Any replacements quoted separately.

Site readiness

Internet, LAN, PoE and cabling responsibilities at the hospital.

Billing contact

Who BridgePoint invoices, and whether a PO is required.

Next step

A planning call to work through the list above and confirm the final extension count. Nothing is provisioned and nothing is billed until that's done and Pohlen Hospital confirms the corrected pricing in writing.
